Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel

I stayed at the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel for business about 2 weeks ago and I would say that I had a slight mixed review.
One thing that sticks into my mind is on the internet drop. I was in the middle of completing a business assignment when the internet was lost. I called the desk and they said that the password had changed. Of course, they didn’t know what it was. The front desk agent told me that he would finds out immediately and call me back. There was no call so I was out of luck for the evening (luckily the Champions League was on TV.)
The room was fairly clean and the bed was well made and comfortable. I ended up staying on the 21st floor of the hotel which had a nice view of the city. I was originally put on the 4th floor but my room was at the same level as the roof of the next building. I didn’t feel all that safe so they moved my up (for a fee of course.)
My recommendation: this is the nicer of the two Coast Hotels in Edmonton. The rooms were nice for the price; however, the service could have been a little better (although it was a freak password change that the agent had no control over.)

Coast Hotels has a frequent stay card so sign up before you go so your first visit is included on the card.
Coast Edmonton Pros
- Decent room for the rate ($134 includes buffet breakfast)
- Nice view of the city from each room
- Friendly staff - front desk and cleaning people
- Comfortable beds (King Size)
- Pool and workout area
Coast Edmonton Cons
- Internet quit working and could not be fixed
- Original room (4th floor) was at a roof level (unsafe?)
- Pool closes at 10:00pm so no late swim
